Who We Like

Masaka Cycling Club via The Hidden Athlete Podcast

We really, really like and support what Ross Burrage, convener of The Hidden Athlete Podcast is doing for the Masaka Cycling Club. He started up the ‘The People Funded Cycling Program’

Impulse Adventures

Impulse Adventures began, in spirit, in 2013. Its founder, Adrian Manikas, took off to spend 3 months traveling Europe, and another 3 months trekking around the Himalayas in Nepal. While in Europe, Adrian managed, through social networks and emails, to convince a small group of friends and their friends to meet him in Kathmandu, Nepal, and he would safely lead them to Everest Base camp and back, taking care of all their in country travel arrangements.

The Overlander – Hong Kong

The Overlander is one of the most sizable and experienced outdoor product chain stores in Hong Kong. Their mission is to select the most suitable apparel and other outdoor products from all around the world for the outdoor activity lovers in Hong Kong. In 2017 The Overlander introduced Wilderness Wear into their range as the premium sock and base layers brand. Their best selling sock is the Wilderness Wear 10K which now features in the Overlander 10K running event held each year in Pak Shek Kok Promenade Park, Shatin, Hong Kong.

Barkley Marathon – The Race That Eats Its Young

The Barkley Marathons is an ultramarathon trail race held in Frozen Head State Park near Wartburg, Tennessee. Runners may elect a “fun run” of 100km or the full course of 160km (distances are approximate). The race is limited to a 60-hour period, and takes place in late March or early April of each year. You mightn’t want to ever enter it but watch the doco… it’s fascinating.

Frank Smith Work Clothing – Bathurst NSW

The guys at Frank Smith’s Work Wear in Bathurst NSW know their socks and are a great supporter of Wilderness Wear and for that we ‘LIKE THEM’. In 2016 they won an advertising award for their promotion of our unique Thick Shake Milk socks. Click on the READ more link below to see what they say about these great socks. Thanks Cath.

Scout Outdoor Centre

The guys at Scout Outdoor Centre in Adelaide know their stuff. They all live and breathe the outdoors. And they stock a huge range of Wilderness Wear socks and base layers. What’s not to like.

Walking Escapes

Want/need to escape the ‘rat race’? Want to walk some of the best trails that Australia has to offer? If your answer is yes, then Lyn Morrison (Walking Escapes owner and founder) has selected some of the best walks in Australia for you to enjoy. Best things is, all of Lyn’s ‘escapes’ are in small groups (most trips only host 10 people) and with qualified and knowledgeable guides and host. WW can highly recommend.

Aspire Adventure Outdoor Tasmania

A fantastic, new addition to the Launceston Outdoor Retail scene. The guys really know their stuff and they stock a comprehensive range of Wilderness Wear socks and base layers. So if you live in Launceston, or are travelling down that way, drop in and see what they are all about.

Uimi

We really like what Fiona & her team at Uimi are about. Still manufacturing great woollen knitwear in Australia. Well done to Fiona Gange and her dedication to keeping it local.
