The Wilderness Wear Fire Rated 800 socks have been designed using a unique 3 layer construction method. In most socks the wool and nylon yarns are drawn in at the same time and are spread throughout the inner and outer sections of the sock. Our sock techinicans re-engineered our specialised knitting machines, so that the treated wool is knitted on the outer sock section, a nylon mesh panel in the middle and pure wool knitted in a deep, terry construction throughout the sock inner. The upper welt section is a 1×1 rib construction which helps reduce calf pressure.

Ideal for Fire Fighting, Emergency Services, Welding, Electricity & Gas Authorities, Car Racing, Smelting Industries and applications where extreme heat, fire, sparks, or molten metal are involved.

Women’s Body Measurements

BUST: Measure the circumference of your chest. Place one end of the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust, wrap it around (under your armpits, around your shoulder blades, and back to the front) to get the measurement.

WAIST: Measure the circumference of your waist. Use the tape to circle your waist (sort of like a belt would) at your natural waistline, which is located above your belly button and below your rib cage. (If you bend to the side, the crease that forms is your natural waistline.)

HIP: Measure the circumference of your hips. Start at one hip and wrap the tape measure around your rear, around the other hip, and back to where you started. Make sure the tape is over the largest part of your hips.

INSIDE LEG: This is the distance from the uppermost inner part of your thigh to the bottom of your ankle. If you have a pair of pants that fit you perfectly, measure the inseam of the pants, again from the crotch to the hem.

Athletic Fit

More of a “tailored” fit that is tighter across the middle and shoulder sections in tops and tighter across the backside, upper thigh and lower leg sections in leggings.

Slim Fit

A snug, close-to-the body fit for low bulk, layering. Clothing in this style don’t have extra fabric hanging or draping anywhere.

Regular Fit

Neither snug, nor loose, these garments are worn solo or over other layers. Regular fit clothing tends to fit most body types comfortably and have a little extra fabric than slim fit.

Relaxed Fit

Relaxed refers to a fit that’s looser than regular, but not baggy. Typically, relaxed clothing provide a comfortable, looser fit.
